Most IT equipment has stored corporate and/or private confidential information. Adherence to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (AP11) has become mandatory for many organisations. To meet the most rigorous Data Security requirements we have adopted processes that comply with the Australian government’s ISM 2016 standard (Security Control 0313W).
Our processes encompass the following:
All serialised equipment is catalogued so that we can track it through our data erasure processes.
Malleable reports to comply with your asset register.
All assets are stripped of any identifying labels/stickers e.g. asset labels, company logos.
All devices that have hard drives undergo a three (3) wipe data erasure process utilising Blancco (ISO 15408)

You may also choose to have HDD’s and storage devices physically shredded.
